This year's Summer Solstice in Narni will have a particular Medieval twist to it on June 23rd with the Notte Bianca Medievale organised by the Ente Corsa all'Anello. Starting at 7pm the streets of the old town centre will be alive with taverns, performances, dancing, games, concerts and guided tours, all focussing on the glorious Medieval past of this southern Umbrian hill town.

From June 23rd to October 28th Palazzo Collicola will be running the exhibition entitled "+50 Sculture in città tra Memoria (1962) e presente (2012)", intended to mark the 50th anniversary of the great sculpture show organised in Spoleto in 1962 by Giovanni Carandente. Some works from that very show, including major pieces by Consagra and Pomodoro, will be repositioned where they were in 1962. Read more

On June 23rd and 24th the Circolo Anspi has organised this year's edition of the Madonna del Prato parish festa. The Church of Madonna del Prato was inaugurated in 1662. The building is in the baroque style, inspired by the San Carlino alle Quattro Fontane church in Rome, which was designed by the great Francesco Borromini. Read more

This year's edition of Grello's Notte di Fuoco e Guazza festivity, held annual with everyone dressed in 13th century garb, will take place the night between June 23rd and 24th. Rudimentary carts named jncije are pulled at high speed through the city streets, each bearing a lit bonfire made out of wood and hay to symbolise the Faith.
