On June 2nd Pieve de Saddi will be commemorating the feast day of St Crescienziano with a walk and Holy Mass at the Pieve de' Saddi. Crescenziano, or Crescentino as he is also known, is believed to have been a Roman soldier who deserted and hid in the countryside around Città di Castello - known as Tifernum in Roman times. On June 3rd Montecampano will be commemorating the feast day of St Eurosia, with Holy Mass at 10.30am followed by a procession accompanied by the town band of Amelia. Read more

After Holy Mass on June 3rd there will be a procession to a particular spot known as lu cunnuttu, where an open air shrine adorned with all the most beautiful wild flowers that grow in the area will serve as the place from which the parish priest will impart his blessing against fire, hail, violent weather, locusts and frost. The shepherds of Castelluccio make a special cheese for the occasion using milk that has been milked that very morning. Read more

On June 3rd the "Su e giù per l'isola" run will be disputed on the Polvese Island. Now in its tenth edition, the popular relay race is organised by the Podistica Volumnia Sericap of Ponte San Giovanni. On the same day there will also be the fifth edition of Retropolvese, the national retro-running race over one mile, valid for the 2012 Retrochallenge.
