The opening concert for this year's edition of the Agosto Montefalchese programme of summer cultural events will take place on July 28th, with the Suffolk Youth Orchestra conducted by Philip Shaw performing a programme of Shostakovich, Holst, Walton and Elgar. The Suffolk Youth Orchestra is made up of some 100 instrumentalists aged between 16 and 24.

From July 29th to August 12th Amelia will be throbbing with this year's edition of the Palio dei Colombi, the Medieval style joust involving knights and crossbowmen with the town's five contrade districts vying to see who can win the coveted victory banner.
