Spoleto (PG) - Under the aegis of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Tourism - Directorate General for Live Entertainment, the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto "A. Belli "in collaboration with the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the sponsorship of the Commission of the European Communities, announces the 68th edition of the COMPETITION 'COMMUNITY' EUROPEAN 'FOR YOUNG OPERA SINGERS 2014
Young people who are eligible to participate as of 1 January 2014 have not yet turned 32 years of age sopranos and tenors and 34 years of age if mezzo-sopranos, altos, baritones and basses, and who are citizens of European Union countries, or EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), or citizens of the candidate countries to access the European Union (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey) and potential candidate countries ( Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo n.1244 according to the resolution of the Security Council of the United Nations). The International Jury will be presided over by the famous American soprano June Anderson and composed by Maestro Michelangelo Zurletti, musicologist and Artistic Director of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto, a representative of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and other experts among singers, singing teachers , critics and theater organizers chosen by the institution.
The winners will participate in a biennial STUDY five months that will prepare them to debut in the theater. Among the teachers of the Course Starting Debut remember: for the vocal interpretation Renato Bruson, the acting director Giorgio Bongiovanni, for the study of music Enza Ferrari and Marco Bohemians. They are also scheduled lessons Elements of the History of Melodrama, foreign language, body movement, mime and dance. Expected, as is the case for several years, also the support and collaboration of the specialized structure of the Hospital of Spoleto (Umbria ASL n. 3) with regard to the issues foniatriche and vocal hygiene-related song (specialist Dr. Graziano Brozzi, speech therapist Roberta Mazzocchi).
There are SCHOLARSHIPS individual Euro 850.00 gross per month. At the end of the course the winners will debut in the OPERA SEASON 2014 "Experimental" to be held as usual in the month of September.
For 2014 it is established once again by Ms Nicoletta Braibanti Valets Special Prize "Caesar valets." The total amount of € 8,000.00 will be awarded to the winner of the competition standard, and if no tenor among the winners, the prize will be divided among the top 3 winners of the Singers Competition (regardless of the vocal register) based on the scores given by the Jury , according to the following modalities:
1st place: € 4,000.00 2nd Prize: Euro 3.000,00 3rd Prize: Euro 1.000,00.
The Prize will be awarded to the winner / s in scholarships extraordinary amount equal, on the occasion of Propadaeutic to debut in 2014 and 2015.
