Among the masterpieces ballettistici the nineteenth century, "Sleeping Beauty" is considered one of the greatest ballets of imperial Russia, representing the most classic expression, in an atmosphere of theatrical abstraction that aims to give more emphasis to the pure dance with respect to the events narrative. According to history composition of the three ballets by Tchaikovsky, "The Sleeping Beauty" is based on the book written entirely by Prince Ivan Vsevolozhsky, then superintendent of the Imperial Theatres of St. Petersburg, and was inspired by the fairy tale by Charles Perrault.
A flagship for the New Classical Ballet of Moscow, young ballet private company, founded in early 2000 in Moscow, with the aim to develop and exploit the great tradition of classical Russian ballet, seeking at the same time new forms choreography. The corps de ballet is made up of dancers from the best dance academies of Russia, as well as winners of numerous international competitions for classical ballet.
