VI National Day on ALS

Perugia (PG) - On September 29, AISLA, Italian Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, celebrates the VI National Day on ALS, under the patronage of the President of the Republic and ANCI, the National Association of Italian Municipalities. The day was created to commemorate the sit-ins of the sick in Rome on 18 September 2006 in which they were advanced to the Ministry of Health exact requirements for the defense of care and support to people with ALS.

On September 29, AISLA will be present in 120 Italian cities to promote the fundraising campaign "A contribution paid with taste": while a small donation will be possible to receive a bottle of Barbera d'Asti DOCG. The bottles were provided by the Chamber of Commerce of Asti, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Asti, Asti and the City of Consorzio Tutela Vini d'Asti and Monferrato.

In Umbria AISLA will be present in six squares:

· Foligno, Republic Square
· Foligno, c / o San Giovanni Battista Hospital
· Narni Scalo (TR), Via Todi
· Perugia, Via Mazzini,
· Perugia, c / o Ospedale Santa Maria della Misericordia
· San Gemini (TR), Via Roma

The funds raised will be used by AISLA to finance the project "Operation Relief" that comes with the main objective of alleviating the suffering of patients who actually are to live each day with a highly disabling disease such as ALS.
The project provides financial support, support for the management of the patient in the home and providing useful tools to improve the quality of life, such as communicators.

Volunteers will be available to the citizens to provide information about the disease and on the activities of the association that operates in practice for over thirty years in the area in support of patients and their families.
