The Forest of Saint Francis of Assisi:
The visit to Bosco di San Francesco, a splendid example of Italian rural landscape of 64 hectares and over 800 years of history, is a real inner journey to discover the message of perfect harmony between Man and Creation that St. Francis taught the world. Visitors are invited to walk the narrow path, starting from the Basilica of San Francesco and passing through the Forest of Saint Francis, owned by the Papal Basilica - Sacred Convent of St. Francis of Assisi, through woodlands and fields, clearings and olive groves. Once in the valley, you will discover evidence of a microcosm of the village, between the thirteenth and fourteenth century by Benedictine nuns, and, later, an old tower-mill from which you can admire and enjoy the "Third Heaven" extraordinary work of Land Art of the Master Michelangelo Pistoletto.

The event is included in the calendar of "events in the FAI Properties 2014" and will be made possible thanks to Barclays, which for the first time with FAI in this important project, PIRELLI, which renews the friendship established with the Foundation, and Cedral Tassoni, historic Italian brand that for the third consecutive year, has decided to combine the tradition, history and the naturalness of the product to the FAI.

Days and Hours: Saturdays at 15:30 and Sundays at 11 am, from April to September 2014.
