Antoniazzo Romano and Montefalco

Montefalco (PG) - The Museum Complex of San Francesco in Montefalco will pay tribute to Antoniazzo Romano.

Since December 10, 2016 al May 7, 2017 will be possible to admire the "Madonna and Child with Saints Paul, Benedict, Justina and Peter", preserved at the Pinacoteca of St. Paul Outside the Walls in Rome.

The painting will be exhibited next to another artist's work, the altarpiece depicting "St. Vincent, St. Catherine of Alexandria and St. Anthony of Padua", kept in the Umbrian town where he arrived in the Church of St. Illuminata in 1491, thanks intervention of Friar Anselmo da Montefalco General of the Augustinian Friars.

A unique opportunity to allow a true comparison of the two works of the Master, underlining the plots between modern influences and old values, including the Roman tradition and Montefalco.
