Assisi (PG) - This summer, the Bosco di San Francesco, Well the FAI - Italian Environment Fund opened to the public by the end of 2011, will host the first volunteer camp FAI Young, dedicated to children between 18 and 25 years: from 16 July to 18 August 2013 are scheduled for 5 rounds lasting 6 days and a maximum of 8 participants each, for a total of 40 boys involved.
An educational experience, fun and exciting at the same time, which will enable young people to know and, in turn, learn to know this enchanted forest that embodies the typical features of the Umbrian landscape, a symbol of harmony between man and nature . The boys will in fact have the opportunity to see first hand the work carried out daily by the FAI in the Woods, one of his most fascinating heritage, and to support those in the first person in their care, in line with one of the primary objectives of the Foundation: educating knowledge, and respect for and protection of nature and art.
During each of the five rounds in the calendar, from Tuesday morning to Sunday morning, the boys will be offered different and exciting activities, all preceded by appropriate training from the works of maintenance of green areas to guard and treatment of picnic areas and of the paths, the activity information and support to the staff and management to the promotion of Good and of the many events organized for summer 2013. In addition, participants will be able to make exclusive guided tours to discover the beauty of Assisi with the Property Manager of the Bosco di San Luca Francesco Chiarini.
- Round 1: July 16 to 21 with arrival in Assisi in the evening of 15 July
- 2nd round: 23 to 28 July, arriving at Assisi in the evening of 22 July
- 3rd round: from 30 July to 4 August, arriving at Assisi in the evening of 29 July
- 4th round: from 6 to 11 August, arriving at Assisi in the evening of August 5,
- 5th round: 13 to 18 August, arriving at Assisi in the evening of August 12,
COST: The fee for the volunteer camp is € 250 per person.
The price includes:
- 6 nights (from Monday evening before the shift to Sunday morning) in self-catering apartments at a facility located near the Forest of St. Francis
- 6 lunches (Tuesday to Sunday)
- Welcome dinner on Tuesday evening
- Galley base in the apartments
- Working Equipment
- Accident and RC
The fee does not include travel costs to get to Assisi and dinners (which may, however, be self-managed apartment or eat at a nearby structure at subsidized prices).
