Castel Viscardo (TR) - Castel Viscardo (Tr). On November 6th and 7th Monterubiaglio will be remembering a much-loved local tradition whereby the end of the grape harvest season was celebrated by a large meal, involving all those friends who had helped each other with harvesting their respective grapes. The year's new wine was dutifully served, laced with bigonzone - the fermented contents of a hermetically sealed container in which various varieties of grape had been left to mature for around a month.
The current Bigonzone festival of Monterubiaglio takes place in the main square, offering visitors a taste of the broad range of local produce and specialities.
