Marsciano (PG) - Saturday, July 20, 2013, at the Park Bridge starting at 13.00, will take place on "The Etruscan Guard Beach Rugby Tournament ° - Marsciano 2013," official leg of the Italian championship in this event organized by the Italian League Rugby Beach.
The event, hosted for the first time in Umbria under the patronage of the Municipality of Marsciano and the Province of Perugia and with the support of corporate sponsors, will contend for more than 120 athletes and 20 national technical from Lazio, Campania, Marche and Umbria.
During the day are also organized other activities targeted at young people, with the beach rugby for boys, young and old alike of the "Old Rugby Umbria." After the matches, starting at 20.00, is also planning a celebration of rugby Toga Party and at 22.00 there will be a performance of the ancient Roman game called "Harpastum", a fight of gladiators and Roman legionnaires. The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Cultural Association Hispellum of Spello, will also serve to promote the great event of historical reenactment of this fight will take place in Spello on 25 August.
This stage of the Italian league of beach rugby has been promoted, in Marsciano, by the Guardia Martana Rugby asd, founded in 2010 by boys and fans of the game of rugby with the aim of spreading in the Middle Tiber Valley this game and its typical associative and participatory culture, with particular attention to the problems and social dynamics.
