Visit the Loggia di Braccio Fortebracci

Perugia (PG) - For the entire month of August 2013, the Museum of the Chapter of St. Lawrence opens to the public one of the oldest terraces of the city, the Loggia di Braccio Fortebracci. From 01 to 31 August 2013, Tuesday to Sunday, 10.30 am, 11.30, 16:00.

By offering the Capitular Museum of San Lorenzo, in fact, citizens and tourists will have the opportunity to visit, as well as the rich Pinacoteca and the archaeological Etruscan-Roman acropolis, the loggia of Arm Fortebracci and look out from the point of unusual sight on the beautiful monuments of Perugia.

The lodge was built in 1423 during the rule of Arm Fortebracci by Bolognese Fioravante Fioravanti for the leader made numerous works. The porch, as demonstrated by the frescoes by Benedetto Bonfigli in the Chapel of the Priors, was the entrance to the building boom. Over the centuries, several works altered the use and appearance, so that only four of the original five arches have come down to us.
