Every year towards the end of June the women of Castelluccio make their pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Santa Scolastica. Sister of St Benedict, St Scolastica was born in the 5th century AD and is venerated right into Germany as being the protecting saint for mothers milking their newborn babes.

On June 23rd and 24th the annual Madonna dell'Acqua festa will be held in Allerona. The festa takes place in the square near the church that bears the same name and which dates back to the 18th century. The church was erected over a previously existing votive chapel dating from the 15th century, which stood near a water spring that was believed to have miraculous powers. Music and torchlit procession.
