Scheggia (PG) - On June 3rd Isola Fossara will be holding its traditional Taglio del Maggio, a tradition that dates back to pre-Christian times and is intended to celebrate the arrival of spring. On the morning of June 30th a tree on Mount Catria will be felled and then dragged into town to much celebration. The feast is a prelute to the town's celebrations held in honour of St Anthony on June 13th.

Spello (PG) - On June 3rd this year's edition of the StraSubasio gran fondo cycling race organised by the ANCORA Moving and Cycling Group will be disputed around Spello, over a 123.5-kilometre route.

Assisi (PG) - On June 3rd and 10th at 11am there will be guided tours of the newly opened Bosco di San Francesco given by the manager. This large section of woodland directly beneath St Francis' has recently been sensitively managed and opened to the public by the Fondo Ambiente Italiano and includes a number of footpaths and itineraries stretching down to the valley beneath, where an ancient abbey has been converted into a visitors centre.

Assisi (PG) - On June 4th the Sacred Convent will be hosting "Nel nome del cuore", the great art and solidarity event which will be broadcast live on RAI1 and which this year will be gathering funds for aid in South Sudan and Kenya.

Perugia (PG) - From June 4th to 10th British artist Bob Gibson will be conducting the "La città sospesa" workshop, open to a maximum of ten participants and aimed at completing a series of public installations and videos focussing on the theme of the city as a mutating organism. Anyone wishing to take part should submit their application no later than April 30th.

Spoleto (PG) - This year Spoleto will be hosting the Fringe Festival Road Show on June 4th and 5th, marking a closening of the ties between the two cities. The Fringe Society will be presenting the 2012 edition of the Fringe Festival of Edinburgh, highlighting the value and opportunities such an event can offer to Italian artists and creatives. There will also be a presentation of the Mama Spoleto Open, the Fringe Festival's event that has been included in this year's programme of the Spoleto Festival.

Renaissance in Acquasparta Acquasparta (TR) - From June 6th to 17th Acquasparta will be returning to its glorious Medieval past when it was one of the seats of the powerful Cesi family, in particular Federico Cesi II, Duke of Acquasparta and founder of the Accademia dei Lincei. Perugia (PG) - On June 7th the Italian art therapy professional association will gather in Perugia for its national congress, which will run in the Teatro della Fondazione in Via Antinori 28. Organised in collaboration with Associazione Italiana Musico-Terapeuti (AIM), Associazione Italiana Danza-Movimento-Terapeuti (APID) and the Pro-Civitate Christiana-Ente Formatore Assisi, the congress will concentrate on the issue of international recognition of art therapy.
