Assisi (PG) - As sons of St. Francis - who sang his most beautiful prayers, to thank God with singing even for "Sister Death" - from July 1 to August 29, the Friars Minor of the Portiuncula are pleased to encourage moments of listening to music, opening in this regard and the Cloister of the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli to the public who wishes to rejoice, this year, the festival "Angelic Harmonies."
Recently ended the Third Course of Gregorian Chant with a concert at the prestigious setting of the Lower Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi (taking advantage of the generous and always welcoming hospitality of the Friars Minor Conventual). In addition to this important event, there are many events planned in the program of sacred music concerts d & rsquo! , Organ, Gregorian chant and medieval music, there will also be space for the music, even when secular, expressing beauty and speaks of God, who is Beauty. We will listen, then baroque music performed with sax and meetings instrumental unusual as that between violin and accordion. One of the highest musical quality will certainly be the concert of Forgiveness (August 10, in the square), with the Youth Orchestra of Rome.
The program is even more fed, thanks to the collaboration of the Basilica and the Opera of the Portiuncula with the Pro Loco Association and the musical A.Gi.Mus.: Five concerts are offered (in the cloister or in the Piazza) where - by Scarlatti, Handel and Bach, to the great jazz and pop music, young talents from all over Europe will not fail to make us taste the joy of music in a setting that always refer to him that music is inspirational and end: the Most High, Almighty Lord and Bon.
