Deruta (PG) - Also back this year "MAGIC OF AN ART", a cultural stage from August 30 to September 1, and then from 5 to 8 September. The goal of the event is to shine the spotlight on the field of ceramic, through moments of reflection to take stock of the situation and seminars to present projects that can revitalize a sector in economic crisis, but important to the economic fabric of the region, which employs a thousand people, of which 500 in the city of Deruta.
Rich is the program of this sixth edition. Among the events underline the inauguration of '"Archaeological area of ​​the furnaces San Salvatore" in the Regional Museum of Deruta pottery (scheduled for Friday, August 30, at 18), a space that shows the presence of a ceramic production since the fourteenth century , and the ribbon cutting ceremony of the exhibition "Small ceramic sculptures from the deposits of the museum 1930-1950" (scheduled again in the Regional Museum of ceramics Friday, August 30, at 19.30, and can be visited until January 6, 2014). Show it on over 100 works documenting a production of small ceramic sculptures made for the "luxury packaging" from the Perugina factory of Deruta and Perugia Consortium of Italian majolica art (Cima).
Other significant projects for the city as "dresses in Deruta ceramics" (scheduled Saturday, Aug. 31, at the House of Culture and associations, 10.30), concerning the enhancement and restoration of the historic center through a process to offer tourists from Via Tiberina, so-called because of Majolica, an area where are located 80 workshops, and "Ceramics Made in Umbria" by the Region of Umbria, the town of Deruta and associations, whose goal is to revive the sector .
