San Gemini (TR) - Exhumed in its modern form in 1974, San Gemini's Giostra dell'Arme is an ancient joust that is documented in the City Statutes as having taken place here as early as the 14th century. The town's two rival factions, the Rione Rocca and the Rione Piazza, each field their knights who must run their lance thorugh a 5cm-diameter ring at a gallop. The entire festival will run this year from September 24th to October 9th.
