Trevi (PG) - The fifth round of programming dedicated to young artists and curators of Lucarini Contemporary Trevi Palace opens its doors to Francesco Ciavaglioli.
After the first four exhibitions that have had starring Petroso Diego, Diego Miguel Mirabella and Mauro Vitturini, chlorine chlorine chlorine & lelimane, and Melissa Giacchi, continues programming Gallery Cynical, a project conceived by Maurizio Coccia and Mara Preachers for Palazzo Lucarini Contemporary - former Flash Art Museum, with the staff of Francis Ciavaglioli entitled Strategies ghost. Playback - dissolution - pathos, edited by Simona Merra and Saverio Verini.
The artistic career of Francis Ciavaglioli - painter, photographer and videomaker - focuses on the dissolution of images: Based on the relationship between reality and its representation, the image is intended by the artist phantasm, made mnemonic, affection and pathos.
Strategies ghost is inspired by Giorgio Agamben's theoretical reflections on the nature ambiguous and dual images, addressed in particular in the essay Nymphs (2007): the exhibition project of Francesco Ciavaglioli thus emerges as a visual transposition of theories cornerstone of contemporary aesthetic reflection - from Aby Warburg in Georges Didi-Huberman - who see the center of the training images and their blurring, between repetition and entropy.
In the two halls of the Gallery Cynical there will be site specific and a corollary of unpublished works, photographs, drawings and videos, designed to be a constellation of elements that deal with the theme of the image through different "strategies".
