Magione (PG) - Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 17.00 at the Fisheries Museum of San Feliciano will be inaugurated the photographic exhibition "The Country" by Stefano Stefanoni. The exhibition was curated by the Museum System, managing body of the spaces, with the support of the municipality of Magione.
The exhibition was inspired by the desire to continue on the path of documentation and narrative undertaken with the establishment of the Museum of Fisheries. The photographer, Stefano Stefanoni, was born and still lives in San Feliciano and inhabitant of the village has been able to come up with the way the language of photography to tell a story: the country is not just a place, the country is made of people, animals, objects, events and memories.
It is a true story focuses on the adventures of the territory, and in particular on the lives of those who have done so much because sanfelicianesi traditions and ancient knowledge did not go missing over time. Stefanoni is an inner eye, knows the villagers, it is on their own tables, on the same paved lakefront, even when the weather is bad and only the boats that roar swing in the wind. It 'a discrete and constant camera presence, a meticulous collector of images, since the time when the amateur photographer used to develop a roll of film in the bathroom of the house. Snapshots that make so indelible moments of collective experience. Stefanoni tried to tell year after year, frequenting the places and people, documenting the time and habits, alleys and changed over time, the past and present inhabitants.
And the museum wants to again talk about them and with them, a way to enhance and strengthen this bond.
