Gualdo Tadino (PG) - This year's edition of Grello's Notte di Fuoco e Guazza festivity, held annual with everyone dressed in 13th century garb, will take place the night between June 23rd and 24th. Rudimentary carts named jncije are pulled at high speed through the city streets, each bearing a lit bonfire made out of wood and hay to symbolise the Faith. The guazza is instead a rich assortment of aromatic herbs and rose petals that is distributed to all those present along with a special bread known as the panetto di San Giovanni, which is baked only on this day each year.
