Assisi (PG) - The image of the sculpture of the coat of arms of Pope Francis will be previewed in Assisi on 28 October, on the occasion of the closing of the exhibition "The miracle of the bread and wine," staged at the Palazzo Capitano del Popolo.
The work of master carver Mauro Pieroni, the artist will deliver personally to the pope, was carried out using the techniques of marquetry Renaissance but for the first time the wood has been left natural, without being covered with pure gold as it happened in the past for previous popes.
"Miserable atque eligendo" is the motto engraved on the work.
